Thailand – Elections Feb 2nd

National elections will be held on February 2, 2014. Thailand’s anti-government protesters are blockading buildings where ballot papers are being stored. Expect increased security presence. Avoid all protests, political rallies, election-related events, and large-scale gatherings, and monitor the news for latest details.

U.S. – Winter Storm Warnings in Midwest

Winter storm warnings are in effect for a broad area of the western and midwestern U.S. through Feb. 1. Heavy and blowing snow is forecast in parts of California, Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Even after weather conditions improve, residual transport and commercial disruptions are possible.

Most, but not all, of the domestic airlines are now participating in Pre-Check. This includes Alaska, American, Delta, Hawaiian, JetBlue, Southwest, United, USAirways, and Virgin American. Non-participating carriers include Allegiant, Frontier, and Spirit.
