Security agencies are on high alert following reports that a group of al Shabaab returnees have sneaked into Kenya from Somalia and are planning attacks .

Caribbean – Liat Strike

Regional airline LIAT warns that its pilots may strike over the Easter holidays, April 3 – 5, amid an ongoing labor dispute. Should this strike proceed, it will affect travel to and from 21 cities in the Caribbean.

Scotland – Train Strike

Workers at Virgin Trains East Coast in Edinburgh will stage a 1-day strike on April 3rd. Services between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, and London will be affected.

Czech Republic – Protests

The anti-war group “No to Bases” has called on supporters to stage demonstrations across the Czech Republic March 28-April 1 to oppose US military convoys transiting through the country. The main rally is planned for Wenceslas Square in Prague on March 28th. Expect traffic delays and increased security.

US citizens advised of the likelihood of disturbances in Santiago on March 29, in connection with the anniversary of the Day of the Young Combatant. There may be disturbances in the days leading up to anniversary.
