Air traffic controllers in Italy will strike on October 24th, from 10a to 6p, causing flight delays.

Activists have planned a mass rally near the European Parliament Building on October 17th from 1200-1500. The demonstration is likely to draw thousands or even tens of thousands of participants from across Europe. Expect localized ground transport disruptions and road closures. Violent clashes have occurred during previous anti-free trade demonstrations.

Typhoon Koppu is projected to make landfall in Cagayan Province of the Philippines late Oct. 18-early Oct. 19 before veering northward and exiting northern Luzon. However, significant changes to track and intensity are possible. Damaging winds and torrential rains are likely.
