Flight delays can be expected for the next 48 hours as Dubai International Airport clears a backlog of flights following a crash landing there on Wednesday. Only one runway is operating. Travelers are advised to reconfirm flight status.

In a unique strike, the Airports Authority Employees Union at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion International Airport has called on workers to observe Shabbat laws from dusk August 5 until dark August 6. Shabbat protocol will permit landings of already scheduled flights from abroad, but no takeoffs.
