Security planners for the Jan. 20 inauguration brace for large numbers of protesters along with nearly a million Trump supporters. The possibility of confrontations exists. A number of road closure and parking restrictions are planned. Special flight restrictions will be in place in the Washington DC area January 19-21.
An expansive and long-duration ice storm is forecast to develop Jan. 13 in the central plains and the Ohio Valley, pushing into the Mid-Atlantic (primarily south of the I-80 corridor) Jan 14-15, before moving into Iowa and Illinois on Jan 16th. Expect travel disruptions.
