Public sector workers plan to hold a mass demonstration in Rome on June 17. Activists will gather at 0900 at Piazza della Repubblica and Piazzale Ostiense before marching to Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano for a rally at 1200.
Excessive heat warnings are in effect for parts of the southwest U.S. until June 21. Temperatures are projected to exceed 110 in Las Vegas, 115 in Tucson, and 120 in Phoenix.
