Egypt – Government Lifts Curfew Nationwide

On Nov. 13, the government announced that the country’s curfew, instituted on Aug. 14, had formally ended. Despite the end of the curfew, security will be tight along main streets and city centers throughout the country. Anti-government protests, albeit on a smaller scale, continue in Cairo and other locations, and security forces are quick to use force to disperse demonstrations.
