Japan – Heavy Snow and Travel Disruptions

Severe transportation disruptions could persist in parts of central and western Japan, including the metropolitan Tokyo area, through at least Feb. 15 due to a powerful winter storm that may bring up to 28 inches in Tokyo. At least 100 flights have been canceled so far and delays “shinkansen” bullet train services.
