Thailand – Bangkok Protests

On Feb. 27, the caretaker government warned people to stay away from the anti-government camps and all rallies in Bangkok, due to the risk of violence. The advisory follows multiple attacks on protest camps. In a bid to prevent further attacks, the army is erecting more than 100 checkpoints around the protest camps and other locations deemed to be prone to violence. The warning came amid growing concerns that political violence could potentially worsen in the coming months.
