Thailand – Possibly Violent Clashes May 10-11
Violent clashes are feared as the anti-govt protest leader declares final all-out battle against the government beginning Friday, May 10th morning after Constitutional Court forces PM Shinawatra from office. Pro-government Red Shirts, mainly from north and north-eastern provinces, will rally in the city 24 hours later in what they say will be their strongest show of force since Thailand’s political crisis began last November. Travelers should avoid downtown areas and other areas where demonstraters gather.
