Denmark, Germany, Netherlands – Severe Weather
Two powerful storms are forecast to bring severe weather to northern Europe Jan. 9-11. The storms will generate powerful onshore winds that will produce very high water levels and potential storm surge flooding in numerous coastal towns in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands. Wind-related flight delays and cancellations are highly likely. Localized flight disruptions could have a cascading effect on some airlines’ networks across the continent. Major international airports where storm-related disruptions could occur include Hamburg and Copenhagen.
