I got into the TSA Pre-Check program early and was selected fairly regularly, but recently not so much. Did something change?

When the program first started the original way to gain entrance to TSA Pre-Check was through an invite from one of your frequent flyer programs. However, in the years since then other methods have become available – specifically, through Global Entry membership or applying directly to the TSA Pre-Check program. Earlier this year TSA announced that it would be reducing the instances where travelers who access the program through frequent flyer membership are selected. If you enjoy the benefits and wish to maximize your chances for selection, consider applying to TSA Pre-Check directly, or if you also travel internationally, applying for Global Entry. Remember that regardless of which method you use no one is guaranteed to be selected for Pre-Check benefits 100% of the time.
