Portugal – Ground Handler Strike

Ground handlers have called a 48-hour strike at Lisbon, Porto, Porto Santo, and Funchal Airports on August 29-30. Portuguese officials are expected to impose a mandatory minimum level of service to prevent crippling disruptions at the affected airports. Unless averted, the labor action will likely result in security check delays and ground handling disruptions for passenger and cargo flights, with moderate flight delays.
