Caribbean and Florida – Tropical Storm Erika

Tropical Storm Erika continues to track westward and is expected to make landfall in the northern Leeward Islands on Aug 27th, before continuing towards the British Virgin Islands and Southern Florida. Little to no strengthening is forecast through Aug. 29 and Erika is anticipated to move through as a relatively weak tropical storm. Strong winds and heavy rain are nonetheless expected, and flooding, power outages, transport disruptions, and some property damage are likely.
