Washington DC – Metro Work

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority will conduct the second of 15 “”Safety Surges”” to address necessary maintenance work on Metro rail lines from June 18-July 3. The line between Eastern Market and Minnesota Avenue/Benning Road will be closed, reducing serving on the Orange and Silver lines. Stadium-Armory and Potomac Avenue stations will be closed. There will be no Blue Line service between Arlington Cemetery and Rosslyn; passengers traveling between Washington, DC, and Virginia are urged to use the Yellow Line as an alternative. Supplemental shuttle bus service will be provided; however, there will be no shuttle bus service between Arlington Cemetery and Rosslyn during peak rush hours.
