Canada and United States – Winter Storm Warnings Active in Upper Midwest and Western Ontario

A late-season winter storm is bringing heavy snowfall, ice, and mixed precipitation to a large area of the US Upper Midwest region. Winter storm warnings remained in effect in many counties in Minnesota, eastern South Dakota, western Wisconsin, and western Ontario, Canada. Meteorologists anticipate up to 10 inches of snowfall by midday April 19. The system has caused major transport disruptions, and additional problems are likely.
