Europe – Air Traffic Controllers Strike
The Air Traffic Controllers European Unions Coordination (ATCEUC) has called for its 14,000 members to strike on October 10, in protest at the European Commission proposal to restructure the European air space to one single air space. This strike would cause flight delays and cancellations if it takes place. The strike may be called off, if negotiations are agreed upon prior to the strike date. The ATCEUC union has members in the following countries; Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Slovenia, and Switzerland.
