All States Set for Real ID Act Compliance

The final phase of the Real ID Act will be implemented in January 2018 and require that travelers have a Real ID Act compliant form of ID in order to board an aircraft. All eight previously non-compliant states have now been granted extensions by the Department of Homeland Security, meaning that residents of these states will be allowed to present state-issued driver’s licenses as identification for air travel.
