Asia – Transport Disruptions During Lunar New Year
Hundreds of millions of people are expected to travel throughout East and Southeast Asia during the Lunar New Year holiday season. The high volume of passengers routinely taxes rail, bus, and airline networks, causes road congestion, and drives up prices and demand for hotels. Disruptions are likely to occur February 6-15 in China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Taiwan, Singapore, North Korea, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand, and the Philippines.
