Bangladesh – Bishwa Ijtema

Islam’s second-largest annual gathering, “Bishwa Ijtema,” will take place January 8-10 and January 15-17, 2016, on the banks of the Turag River near Dhaka. Three to four million visitors from around the world are expected to gather. Expect major traffic disruptions in and around Dhaka, as well as increased air travel. Visitors should remain vigilant and avoid crowds.
