The final phase of a construction project at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport began Sept. 5 and is expected to end Nov 17. Runway 4R/22L is closed making delays likely, especially during peak travel times – late afternoons and evenings. Inclement weather will exacerbate the delays.

Hurricane Irma has caused widespread damage on several Caribbean islands resulting on numerous airport closures and widespread flight disruptions in the region with the reopening dates for the airports unclear.
