Iceland’s Katia volcano is under watch. Scientists believe increased seismic activity signals a “likely imminent eruption.” The eruption of neighboring volcano Eyjafjallajökull paralyzed international air traffic in 2010.

Public healthcare workers began an indefinite nationwide strike on February 2. Workers from all public hospitals and government-run healthcare clinics are expected to participate. Emergency care will be provided during the strike; however, nonemergency service will likely be rescheduled.

Activist groups have called for weekly protests across the US in response to actions taken by President Trump’s administration. The so-called ‘Resist Trump Tuesday’ actions will likely take place near federal government offices – including Congressional offices – through April 29.
