East and Southeast Asia – Mid-Autumn Festival

Millions of people will celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival in several countries throughout East and Southeast Asia Sept. 27. Many countries have national holidays for one or more days between Sep 26-29. Major transport disruptions are likely in China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and South Korea as many people travel to their hometowns to mark the holiday. Increased petty crime is likely during the occasion, especially in crowded areas.
