France – Pilots of CityJet Airline Threaten Strike

CityJet airline pilots have threatened to strike beginning May 17 to protest the proposed sale of the airline. Significant delays and cancellations are likely on all CityJet flights if negotiations between the pilots’ unions and airline management fail. Under French law, unions must file a strike notice 48 hours prior to the action in order to give airlines time to prepare; this has not yet occurred.
