Kenya – Terror Threat Mombasa

In light of the killing of a Muslim cleric in Mombasa and the ensuing violence that erupted in the area, the U.S. Embassy has suspended official travel to Mombasa until further notice. U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to avoid travel in and around Mombasa at this time and if there, to exercise caution and avoid demonstrations or large gatherings.
