Maine and Eastern Canada – Winter Storm
The National Weather Service had issued winter storm warnings for all of Maine and parts of New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Environment Canada has also issued winter storm watches for all of New Brunswick and a number of counties in western and north-central Nova Scotia. A mix of rain, ice, and snow is likely along the Atlantic coast in Nova Scotia by the time the system exits the region on Jan. 31. Flight disruptions are possible at airports in Worcester, Manchester, Portland, Bangor, Bar Harbor, Presque Isle, Fredericton, St. John, and Moncton. Delays and cancellations can also be expected at Boston Logan International Airport due to low visibility and de-icing operations.
