Mexico and United States – Tropical Depression 10 Forms in Bay of Campeche

Tropical Depression Ten in the southwest Gulf of Mexico is poised to deliver extraordinarily heavy rain in parts of northern Guatemala, the eastern Mexico Gulf coast, and southern Texas Sunday into Mondey. While some tropical storm-force winds are possible along parts of the Mexican Gulf coast, the most worrisome impact will be heavy rainfall. A wide swath of eastern Mexico near and inland of the Gulf Coast, and extreme southern Texas have the potential to pick up over 10 inches of rainfall, with isolated amounts over 25 inches through next week.
