Moscow – Travel Disruptions for Orthodox Easter

Authorities will impose traffic and security restrictions in several administrative districts of Moscow for Orthodox Easter celebrations April 30-May 1. Approximately 2 million people will visit Moscow cemeteries, and some 10,000 police will deploy to maintain order and ensure public safety. Easter celebrations will coincide with May Day events, meaning that crowds will be very large in central Moscow .
