Philippines – Typhoon Haiyan

Typhoon Haiyan is forecast to strike the Philippines’ around noon on Nov. 8 between Leyte and Samar. Massive evacuations of low-lying areas are underway ahead of this Category 5 storm which is projected to be the strongest Pacific typhoon this season with winds of 173 mph. Expect massive ground, air, and road transport disruptions, and life-threatening flash flooding and landslides.
