Philippines – Typhoon Noul
Typhoon Noul entered the Philippine Sea May 7, and continues to track northwestward toward the Philippines. The system is carrying sustained winds of 115 mph and is expected to strengthen further as it approaches the country in the coming days. Dodong is predicted to turn slightly northward May 8, and will then move through Lamon Bay before making landfall as a powerful typhoon in Isabela Province on northeastern Luzon Island. Heavy rainfall and powerful wind gusts are expected. Depending on the storm’s final path, flight delays and cancellations are possible at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
