US-Bound Flights – Additional Security

Effective July 19, DHS requires additional security measures for all international flights to the U.S. These measures include enhanced screening of electronic devices larger than a standard smartphone, and may require these devices be removed from their cases for inspection. Exact procedures will depend on the airline/airport. The additional screening may occur within the normal security screening process or separately. For international flights coming to the U.S. it is recommended for travelers to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before the flight to allow time for the additional security measures.
