Vietnam – Internet Service Disrupted
High-speed Internet services could be disrupted through at least Feb. 5th across a number of countries in Southeast Asia due to a severed submarine cable. The greatest effects will likely be felt in Vietnam, however, as the country has fewer alternate cables than others in the region; the damaged cable has the largest capacity among the five submarine cables serving Vietnam. Expect reduced speeds with disruptions most noticeable during international video calls or whenever international Internet broadband is necessary.
