Washington DC – Metro Work

The 10th of 15 planned “Safety Surges” to address necessary maintenance work on DC Metro rail lines will occur Oct. 29-Nov. 22. A complete line segment shutdown will occur between the Fort Totten and NoMa-Gallaudet U stations on the Red Line. The Rhode Island Avenue and Brookland stations will close for the duration of the work. Expect overcrowding on all Red Line trains, particularly during rush-hour periods. Passengers are urged to allow extra commuting time. Limited shuttle buses will provide service between Fort Totten and NoMa-Gallaudet U stations.
