Which states are still not compliant with the Real ID Act?
Currently, there are 9 states that are not compliant, or have not been granted extensions, with the Real ID Act: Kentucky, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, and Washington. Unless these states become compliant or are granted exceptions, residents of these states will need to use a primary form of identification other than a driver’s license in order to board a plane after Jan 21, 2018. A passport, military ID, or permanent resident card are the most common alternate forms of identification.
